Pixie

The Pixie is a mischievous magical creature whose playful tricks can become a physical danger: although it has no wings, it can fly and is known to carry unwary people to the tops of tall trees and buildings.

Appearance and Habitat

Mostly found in Cornwall, England, the Pixie is electric blue and grows up to eight inches tall. Its vivid color and small size contrast with its capacity to fly and interfere directly with human beings.

Behaviour and Classification

The Pixie delights in tricks and practical jokes of all descriptions. One of its characteristic pranks is to seize an unwary person by the ears and deposit them at the top of a tall tree or building, transforming mischief into an unexpected hazard. Despite being wingless, it is capable of flight.

The Ministry of Magic classifies the Pixie as XXX. Its entry also notes that Pixies produce a high-pitched jabbering, establishing a distinctive vocal trait alongside their conspicuous color and mischievous conduct.
